CW25
A celebration of culture, music, community and Canadian basketball, the CEBL’s Championship Weekend has become Canada’s biggest annual basketball event. The weekend includes the top CEBL teams competing to win the league championship trophy, a concert lineup showcasing exciting musical performers, minor basketball events, and an array of activities designed to engage a cross-section of the local community.
Nuit Blanche
Each fall, one Saturday night brings thousands of Winnipeggers and visitors together Downtown to explore art in all its forms. From large-scale installations to interactive performances, Nuit Blanche transforms the city into an open-air gallery filled with creativity and discovery. No sleep… Just art.
Food Truck Series
Graham Avenue’s transformation into Winnipeg’s newest pedestrian street creates the perfect backdrop for hosting food trucks. With no vehicle traffic and plenty of space to stroll, the street invites people to gather, explore, and enjoy a wide variety of local eats.Bringing energy and flavour to the area, offering everything from quick snacks to gourmet meals. Limited hours and seasonal.
Art and Culture Tour
Every Friday, Graham Avenue transforms into a hub of creativity with pop-up performances, live music, theatre, dance, and spoken word. The tour also features rotating art exhibits and cultural showcases that highlight the diversity of Winnipeg’s creative community. Each week offers something new, inviting everyone to explore, connect, and celebrate local talent.

Energetic Community, Unforgettable Location
In 2025, Graham Avenue is transforming into a vibrant pedestrian-focused destination in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg. Based on community feedback from 2023 and 2024, a four-block stretch between Carlton Street and Garry Street will feature murals supported by the Bloomberg Philanthropies Asphalt Art Initiative, artistic lighting, planters, custom-built seating, and interactive spaces.
Launching in June 2025, the placemaking pilot will bring patios, markets, and festival areas, including the Canadian Elite Basketball League’s 2025 Championship Weekend (CW25) in August. With rotating art installations and community events throughout Summer 2025, Graham Avenue is set to become one of Winnipeg’s signature gathering places.
